Cobra Specs

Texoma Classics, an experienced and complete Factory Original and Resto-Mod restoration company, specializing in design, fabrication, engineering, mechanical, electrical, body and paint, as well as custom interiors, is going to apply its expertise to its first production assembly of a new car, the 'TC Cobra Roadster'.

This page is designed to give interested parties the opportunity to evaluate the five version types the TC Cobra Roadster will be available in, with each version being determined by engine or motor type. Each version is listed below.

Standard Features

All 'TC' versions will have the same interiors (black leather), gauges, manual transmissions, wheels and tires, driver-side roll bar, and Cobra white stiping. Choose from five body paints: Black, Cobra Blue, Red, Gray and Silver. After which, all that remains is your choice of 'power plant' which can be from one of the four engine types, including the base model. Or if you prefer to 'Go Green', a renewable energy electric motor. Below are those engine and motor specifications.

Base Model with 350/333 HP, 381 torque carbureted

LS3, 525 HP, ECM

The Chevrolet Performance LS376/525 6.2L LS3 Engine is what do you get when you take Chevrolet's aggressive ASA camshaft, developed for the high-RPM world of circle track and slip it into an LS3 6.2L engine. This 525 horsepower monster is one of their most powerful production-based crate engines, the new LS376/525!

The Chevrolet Performance LS376/525 6.2L LS3 Engine is what do you get when you take Chevrolet's aggressive ASA camshaft, developed for the high-RPM world of circle track and slip it into an LS3 6.2L engine. This 525-horsepower monster is one of their most powerful production-based crate engines, the new LS376/525! The ASA cam is a hydraulic roller with .525-inch lift on both sides, along with 226-degrees duration on the intake side and 236-degrees on the exhaust side. Coupled with a tight, 110-degree lobe separation angle, it helps the engine deliver excellent throttle response and breathe exceptionally well at high RPM. For durability, they complement the cam with higher-rate valve springs.

This simple yet effective combination has an edge to it. You'll notice it in the idle quality and you'll feel it when the revs quickly climb. With 20 more horsepower than the larger-displacement LS7, it's definitely not for the timid!

The Ford Performance all-aluminum 2015-16 5.0L Coyote crate engine is a modern 5.0L 32-valve DOHC V-8 that uses advanced features like Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing (Ti-VCT) to deliver 435 horsepower @ 6500 rpm and 400 ft.-lb.+ of torque @ 4250 rpm.

The Ford Performance all-aluminum 2015-16 5.0L Coyote crate engine is a modern 5.0L 32-valve DOHC V-8 that uses advanced features like Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing (Ti-VCT) to deliver 435 horsepower @ 6500 rpm and 400 ft.-lb.+ of torque @ 4250 rpm (with premium fuel). The lightweight aluminum cylinder block features cross-bolted main bearing caps and thick main bearing bulkheads for bottom-end strength, optimized oil drainback and windage control to improve high-rpm performance.
