Shop Manager

We are fairly large classic car restoration facility and we are seeking a person with 20 to 30 years of hands on experience repairing these classics. You will have been a fabricator/welder, master mechanic with trouble shooting skills, some body/paint background, electrical and most importantly a producer of flawless quality. As we provide our clients with restorations as well as restomods, your experience should include a wide range of vehicles including antique, antique cars, classic cars through installing and flashing today’s crate engines.
As we are filling a management position and you will most importantly have a strong level of communication, leadership, delegation and management skills. The position is one of a mentor, support person and disciplinarian as needed. A position with a wide range of responsibilities including and not limited to all technical aspects of an operational shop, technical staff time management, efficiencies and work quality all leading to the perfect car with zero defects leaving the shop. Possess meticulous attention to all detail, able to manage multiple simultaneous project by staying out in front of the flow, laying out the projects, assuring all parts are being ordered, quality control while the project is in the build stage and final wrap up of final details.
Have strong computer skills being somewhat familiar with pivot tables and able to operate various software programs. Both reliable transportation and while this is not a hands on job tools are required to support the technical staff. Collision Tech

 

Seeking an experienced Collision Repair Tech for a unique opportunity. We are seeking to supplement our restoration business with collision work. We are seeking someone that can start out slowly and help us develop a collision department. You should have estimating, software, insurance company relations and car repair experience. You should have a full set of tools and reliable transportation. Auto Upholstery Crafts-Person Needed  (Full-Time)

Texoma Classics is a highly successful Classic Car and RV/Trailer restoration company, operating since 2002. We are looking for an experience and highly skilled custom upholsterer for autos, trailers and RVs, that can contribute their skills in designing, crafting, fabrication, sewing, pattern making and installation of quality custom upholstery for cars, RVs and trailers.

We are looking for someone with 15-25 years of auto upholstery experience, and for the right candidate, are willing to pay $25-35 per hour. Possible Relocation reimbursement after 90-days for the right candidate.

Additional 'pluses' for the candidate would be some mechanical skill sets and also any equipment and tools you may have to contribute to the department would be an additional plus.

Responsibilities

Be an integral part of the design, fabrication through completion of custom upholstery for autos, RVs and Airstream trailers. Willing to work independently and as a key member of a team to achieve client's objective in a time sensitive fashion.

Qualifications & Skills

At least fifteen years of auto and/or RV upholstery craftsmanship. Ideally, working with restoration companies or custom builders.

·         planning the work, advising on fabrics and estimating costs

·         preparing patterns and templates

·         cutting out fabric

·         fixing webbing and springs

·         covering frames with padding and fabric using stitching, staples, tacks or glue

·         making cushions

·         adding trimmings like piping, fringing and buttons

·         removing old upholstery and repairing frames before re-upholstering


Sales Representatives

Busy Classic Car Automotive Restoration Shop seeking Sales people who can work outside of the box. The challenge here is this is not your everyday sale. This is not a mass marketing kind of business and unlike a new car dealership we have to generate our own leads. You MUST have the ability to enter into wealthy circles. Our cars run up towards $150K and therefore it demands a person with the ability to meet, greet and secure wealthy clients. If you do not have experience in this arena, please do not apply. Busy Classic car and Airstream restoration business is seeking a Webmaster to continue the building of existing departments as well as to incorporate new aspects of our website. Our website is located at www.texomaclassics.com. In addition to the Web work, we are looking for a person with a good PC and networking background. You should be comfortable with Email hosting, Excel programming, website SEO, HTML, CCS, PHP, and JavaScript. You will need a basic understanding of Squarespace along with other WYSIWYG editors.  Knowledge of graphic design along with printing standards and video editing through the use of appropriate software. A willingness to learn the various facets and nuances of our marketing. You should desire and have the capacity to learn continually to meet our technology needs along with the ability to function independently. Antique/Classic Car Technician:

Body Shop Technician:

LS3 ECM/TCM Technician:

We are seeking a Technician with LS3 ECM/TCM in depth experience and knowledge of PC's along with associated software. We are using HP Tuners and you should be familiar with this specific program or another with the ability to quickly adapt to HPT. Satellite Office Establishment and Sales:

Texoma Classics is in expansion mode and we are in the process of opening satellite offices. We are seeking a dynamic individual to:

A) Help us locate a satellite location along corridors of either Dallas/Houston I45 or Dallas/Austin I35 along the interstate.

B) Negotiate the lease for the satellite location.

C) Screen, hire and train appropriate staff.

D) Open and operate the satellite location.

Once the first satellite office is open and has proven to be successful, the position will transition into a cookie cutter effort throughout the US.

The type of person we are seeking will be self-starting, self-motivated, and have strong time management skills.  Once the office is open the daily work routine will include handling incoming calls, loading cars onto our website, showing cars to clients, maintaining an online presence in automotive forums, interacting with car clubs, following up with customers and most importantly selling classis car restorations. Once the office is up and running this position would migrate to the next proposed site.

This position also gives you the flexibility to apply your creative skills and implement your marketing strategies in order to generate new business within a startup budget. This position will require that you are a team player and can self manage your time and efforts. Must be comfortable with teleconferencing via the internet & have moderate computer skills.  Once this position matures heavy travel will be required. Maintenance Person:

Looking for a self-motivated,  person that is ready to work, all round handyman to maintain an automotive restoration facility. Job duties include but not limited to general facility cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, maintenance, painting, lighting, machine maintenance, moving cars, detailing cars etc. You should have a basic set of hand tools to perform basic maintenance. Trailer Technician:

Our vintage trailer division is in a growth mode and as a result we are seeking to hire a technician who is well versed in all or most aspects of the vintage trailer restoration process. Ideally this person should have experience in electrical, plumbing, wood-working, cabinetry, flooring, skinning etc. The person we are seeking should have a broad scope of knowledge with focus on Airstreams but may also see Avalons, Shastas etc. This position requires reliable transportation and you must supply your own tools and equipment to perform all required work. We offer a competitive base hourly wage along with bonus opportunities.
