1972 TRIUMPH TR-6

ABOUT THE CAR:

The Triumph TR6 (1968–76) is a British six-cylinder sports car. All TR6 sports cars featured inline six-cylinder engines. For the US market the engine was carburetted, as had been the US-only TR250 engine. Like the TR5, the TR6 was fuel-injected for other world markets including the United Kingdom, hence the TR6PI (petrol-injection) designation.  (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triumph_TR6)

The 1972 TR6 as it arrived in the shop.

DURING...

This project was interesting.  The customer chose to have he and his family rebuild the motor and do the frame work.  We were responsible for the heavy work which included the body being media blasted, replacing the floor pans, installing patch panels, applied body filler in the necessary areas, epoxy sealed the body. Next we are going to completely sand the body, glaze it, re-sand, apply 2 coats of High End PPG paint called Le Mans Blue along with 2 coats of clear coat, wet sand the body and then buff to a pristine shine.

The TR6 is now painted Le-mans Blue, it is a gorgeous color to go with the stripes. Our paint department did an amazing job with this job!

Clear coat on, look at that shine.
